Archers to Participate in ‘Play for a Cure’

September 28, 2011

St. Louis Community College’s athletics squads are teaming up with the Susan G. Komen Foundation to “Play for a Cure.”

The volleyball, women’s soccer and men’s soccer teams will hold a T-shirt/donation drive for breast cancer awareness. If you are interested in purchasing a T-shirt, contact the STLCC Athletics office at 314-644-9781.

Sizes small through extra large are $12 and 2XL is $16. All proceeds will be donated to the Komen Foundation.

All three in-season STLCC teams are participating. The women’s soccer team is playing Oct. 4 at 4 p.m. against Missouri Valley College at the STLCC-Meramec campus, while volleyball and men’s soccer squads play Oct. 11. St. Charles Community College is the men’s soccer opponent at 4 p.m.; the volleyball team faces Robert Morris at 6:30 p.m. Both events are at the Florissant Valley campus.

A limited quantity of T-shirts will be available for purchase at each contest. Pre-ordered T-shirts can be picked up at the men’s soccer and volleyball games on Oct. 11, or by making arrangements for pickup through the Athletics office. The STLCC Athletics office is located at 5464 Highland Park Drive near the STLCC-Forest Park campus.
