The Meramec Theatre Presents "The Rocky Horror Show" Oct. 5-8

September 27, 2011

Rocky Horror Show
The Rocky Horror Show at Meramec Oct. 5-8

The Meramec Theatre presents “The Rocky Horror Show” Oct. 5–7 at 7:30 p.m. and Oct. 8 at 7:30 p.m. and midnight.

That sweet transvestite and his motley crew did the time warp on Broadway in a 25th anniversary revival. Complete with sass from the audience, cascading toilet paper and an array of other audience participation props, this deliberately kitschy rock ‘n’ roll sci-fi gothic production is more fun than ever.

“The Rocky Horror Show” follows newly engaged couple Brad and Janet, who travel through a rainstorm from their hometown of Denton to visit their old science tutor, Dr. Everett Scott. During their journey, their car gets a flat tire. They walk to an old castle they had passed in search of a telephone, not knowing that the owner, who happens to be a transvestite scientist, his servants and a rambunctious cast of characters await them.

Warning: This musical show deals with mature subject matter. Not recommended for those easily offended, so hold on to your garter belt.

Come in costume, come in drag, come in fetish gear, or just come as you are.

Due to theatre policy, we ask that no food (rice and toast) be brought into the theatre. See you in fishnet- let’s do the time warp again!

We no longer take reservations.  Seating is open and on a first come basis.
