STLCC’s Interactive Schedule Ready for Registration

March 11, 2011

St. Louis Community College’s interactive class schedule has a fresh, new look with upgraded features that make it easier to find the most up-to-date class listings for both credit and continuing education.

Registration for summer classes begins March 23; for fall classes, April 6.

These upgrades have made it possible for STLCC to go paper-free for the credit course schedule, beginning with summer 2011. It is another way STLCC is protecting the environment. Not printing the paper schedule saves more than 2,084 trees; 3676 million BTUs of energy; 1,883,602 gallons of water used to process paper (waste water); and 226,671 pounds of solid waste generated each year.

The new interactive class schedule allows students to select a term, location(s), subject and courses all on the same page. An upgraded search function gives more options for students to narrow their search, and find the classes they want.

The new “MyList” feature allows students to create a “shopping list” of classes they are interested in taking. MyList serves as a temporary worksheet as they determine which courses best fit their busy lives. When registration opens, students can use their MyList as a reference to build a class schedule in Banner Self-Service.

An online tutorial is available to learn more about how to use the new features of the interactive class schedule. Students without home access to computers or slow internet connections will have the opportunity to plan their schedules on campus computers.

A Credit Enrollment Guide has been produced to guide students through the enrollment process and will be available in the campus Admissions/Registration offices.
