Music at Meramec Presents the 2010 Holiday Concert

The Music department at Meramec presents its annual Holiday Concert beginning at 3 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 12, in the theater.

The concert is free and open to the public.

The combined forces of the Concert Choir and Chamber Singers, conducted by Dr. Jerry Myers, and the Orchestra, conducted by Gary Gackstatter, will perform eclectic selections of music from classical standards to medleys of holiday favorites.

The choirs will also perform arrangements of  “Do You Hear What I Hear?”, “A Festive Gloria,” the beautiful “I Wish You Christmas” by John Rutter and “Merry Christmas, Merry Christmas” by John Williams; the Orchestra will perform the “Ukrainian Bell Carol” and “Once In Royal David’s City.”

Throughout the concert, the audience will be invited to sing with the combined choirs and orchestra on “Hark! The Herald Angels Sing” and “Joy to the World.”
