Meramec presents Cancer Awareness Day 2009

Join the Meramec campus for Cancer Awareness Day: Cancer Education & Student Activities BBQ on September 30, 2009. Events begin in the Student Center Quad at 11 a.m. and continue until 1:30 p.m. You’ll receive the latest information on preventable cancers – breast, testicular and lung.

Activities for the day include:

  • Self-testing education sessions for breast and testicular cancers. If you attend, you’ll receive a free lunch!
  • In-depth methods for self-testing for breast health presented by Laura Ferree, BJC Breast Health Care Center
  • In-depth methods for self-testing for testicular health from Tom Struble, Jason A. Struble Foundation.
  • Information on lung capacity and deterioration from Tobacco-Free Missouri
  • Listen, Look and Learn from inspirational Don Young
  • Get in-depth information about Lung Cancer from John Greider, and Richard Humphries
  • GIVE UP CIGARETTES, opening the door to a healthier lifestyle. Turn in your pack and receive a free lunch!

Take advantage of Missouri Baptist Breast Health Care Center Mobile Mammogram, on site from 8 a.m.-2 p.m., in the Visitor’s Parking Lot off Big Bend Rd.. Please note you must pre-register!
