Forest Park Phi Theta Kappa Chapter Hosts Trivia Night
January 30, 2009
Thirst, starvation and AIDS. These are the three threats that most affect the livelihood of people in the South Saharan region of Africa.
St. Louis Community College-Forest Park's Xi Epsilon Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa is helping to alleviate one of these threats -- water -- by hosting a trivia night Friday, Feb. 20, in the cafeteria on campus, 5600 Oakland Ave.
Proceeds from the event will benefit PlayPumps International, an organization that installs pumps which resemble merry-go-rounds to bring clean water to rural communities in Africa.
The night's events will include a raffle, 50/50 drawings, and several rounds of rousing brainteasers. Admission is $15 per person; however, participants must sign up as a table of eight when registering. Doors open at 5:30 p.m., with trivia to follow at 6 p.m.
