Kay J. “I plan to incorporate some of the material covered in the institute into the Ancient and Medieval Heritage class taught on the Meramec campus,” Professor Blalock said. She will also offer a
presentation in cooperation with the Global Studies coordinators on the Meramec campus
The five-week program was held at the Oxford Centre for Hebrew and Jewish Studies (U.K.) and directed by Professors Irven M. Resnick (University of Tennessee at Chattanooga) and Jeremy Cohen (Tel Aviv University). The twenty-five faculty members selected to participate in the program each received a stipend to help defray their travel, study, and living expenses.
The Endowment is a federal agency that each summer supports seminars and institutes at colleges and universities so that faculty can work in collaboration and study with experts in humanities disciplines.
