Post-Dispatch sports desk editor Keith Schildroth also has a seat in the political arena as a second-term Florissant city councilman. Schildroth earned his associate degree in mass communications from St. Louis Community College-Florissant Valley and was a staff member on the award-winning student newspaper, the Forum. A steward for the St. Louis Newspaper Guild and delegate of the St. Louis Labor Council, Schildroth also is a member of the Florissant Old Town Partners, the City of Florissant Personnel Commission, and the North County Legislative Club’s executive board. He also is active in the St. Rose Phillipine Duchesne parish, formerly serving as president of its Men’s Club and coaching youth sports teams for 20 years. Schildroth is the founder/chair of the Friends of Betty Schildroth Memorial Golf Tournament, having raised nearly $90,000 for the hospice program at St. John’s Mercy Medical Center in the past 17 years.
