Retiring Vice President Throws Out First Pitch at Busch Stadium

"The Pitch"

Ann Roberts Divine, Ph.D., vice president for academic affairs at Meramec, threw out the first pitch at Busch Stadium on Sunday, June 15.

Divine, who will be retiring from the college June 30 after 33 years of service, is a diehard Cardinals fan, and her colleagues thought there could be no better retirement gift than this one. Many of her coworkers and family members were on hand to help her celebrate.

Divine delivered the pitch with her usual flair and enthusiasm. She has brought wisdom spiced with incredible spirit and passion to every role she has played at STLCC. She will be greatly missed.

And, by the way, the Cardinals did win 7-6 over the Philadelphia Phillies.
