STLCC-Forest Park's Xi Epsilon Chapter Earns Five Star Recognition

May 29, 2008

The Xi Epsilon chapter of Phi Theta Kappa at St. Louis Community College-Forest Park was named a Five Star Chapter at the Missouri Regional Phi Theta Kappa Convention.

The Five Star Chapter Development program is designed to assist chapters in better organizing their projects and initiatives. Using this program, chapters can build a foundation to leave a lasting legacy for future members as they strive to maintain the level of excellence set by their predecessors.

Using the Five Star Chapter Development program as a guide to success, chapters can enhance their working relationship with the college administration by becoming active on the campus and in the community. Involvement in the program will help chapter members learn about the importance of deadlines and organizational skills. Members can use these skills as they complete their education and begin serving as community leaders.

Phi Theta Kappa, the international honor society for two-year colleges, has recognized academic excellence since 1918. The society is comprised of more than 1,250 chapters at community, technical and junior colleges in the United States and around the world.
