May 20, 2008

Join Florissant Valley's deaf communication studies (DCS) program on June 7, 2008, for the15th Annual Deaf and Hard of Hearing Awareness Day at Six Flags.

Deaf and Hard of Hearing Awareness Day attracts more than 1000 people with hearing loss and their families. The day features exhibits by organizations serving persons with hearing loss, interpreted shows and deaf entertainers.

STLCC-Florissant Valley has been a valued part of this event for many years. Florissant Valley is a sponsor and the DCS program provides many of the volunteers needed for so large an event.

DCS students assist with security and guest relations throughout the park and interpret the Six Flags shows. Florissant Valley also provides t-shirts for the volunteers.
