STLCC-Meramec Alumni Association Sponsors Pet WalK

Pet owners and their canine companions are invited to participate in the first Pet Walk for Scholarships Saturday, May 10, at St. Louis Community College-Meramec.

The walk will take place in the Library Quad on campus, 11333 Big Bend Road. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m.; the walk begins at 9 a.m. Pet lovers will have an opportunity to meet with veterinarians, pet groomers, pet trainers and more. Prizes will be awarded for dogs and owners in categories such as best dressed, best trick, best tail wag and more. Pets must be inoculated and on a leash at all times.

The entry fee is $20 per owner and one pet, which includes one T-shirt each for owner and pet; there is $10 charge for an additional pet. Vendor space also is available at $20 per space, or $50 for space and stage time.

All proceeds benefit the Meramec Alumni Association Student Scholarship Fund.
