Florissant Valley Symphony Orchestra to Perform

The Florissant Valley Symphony Orchestra, directed by Ivy Allen and guest conducted by Paul Higdon, will present a concert at 7:30 p.m. Sunday, May 4, in the Terry M. Fischer Theatre on campus, 3400 Pershall Road.

The concert will feature special guest soloist Takaoki Sugatani performing Mozart’s "Violin Concerto No. 4 in D Major." The orchestra will perform Brian Stanley’s "Piano Concerto" in its St. Louis premier, with Stanley as soloist. The orchestra will complete the program with works by Richard Wagner, Alexander Borodin and John Williams.
