Subdistrict 1 Candidate -- King L. Taylor Jr.

King L. Taylor Jr.

King L. Taylor Jr. of north St. Louis County teaches personal finance and entrepreneurship in the Normandy School District.  He also is president/owner of Chemstar Holding Inc., a motor vehicle supplier and new parts merchant wholesaler.


Taylor, 51, is seeking an elected office for the first time. If elected, Taylor thinks his business, education and labor experience will be beneficial to the college.


Taylor also taught for nine years at Roosevelt High School.


He holds a master' degree in business management from Fontbonne University. His bachelor's degree in business administration/economics is from Park University.


Taylor received the Entrepreneurial Award and the Blue Chip Enterprise Award from Mass Mutual Insurance Co. He is a volunteer for Community Women against Hardship.


Taylor is married and has one child.
