Kim McCall enters her second year as the program’s head coach for the 2010/11 season. She led her squad to a surprising second place finish in the region. Look for the squad to be vastly improved as she has an opportunity to recruit for a full year. A native of Rockville, MD, Coach McCall graduated from Methodist College (now University) in 2005 with a bachelor of science degree in athletic training and a minor in physical education. Coach McCall was a 4 year starter at shortstop for the Monarchs. During her college career, Coach McCall received All-Conference honors, All-Tournament team honors, All-Region honors, Offensive Player of the Year, and Rookie of the Year.

From there Coach McCall headed to Lynchburg College in Lynchburg, VA as the graduate assistant softball coach from 2006-2008. As an assistant, McCall helped with all aspects of the program including recruiting, conditioning, offense and defense, and scouting. She was able to work with a program that garnered two Old Dominion Athletic Conference Tournament Championships, two NCAA Division III Regional Appearances, one NCAA Division III Regional Tournament Championship, and one NCAA Division III College World Series appearance. McCall received her Master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction in 2008 from Lynchburg College.

McCall is a 2001 graduate of the Academy of the Holy Cross in Kensington, MD and was a 4-year varsity starter during her high school career. She was a member of the high school’s first ever Washington Capital Athletic Conference Tournament Championship in 2001 for softball.
