Tony Dattoli enters his seventh season at the helm of the Meramec program. Dattoli is no stranger to area collegiate baseball, having played, as well as served as assistant and head coach for Harris-Stowe State College during the 1990's. He compiled an 85-80 record. He also served in 2002 as an assistant coach at Lindenwood University and has taken two summer collegiate teams to the NABF World Series. In 1994-1995, his team finished third in the nation.

Dattoli played his prep ball at St. Mary's High where he was named All-Conference his last three years. As a shortstop/third baseman for Harris-Stowe, he emerged as a star player, batting a sizzling .468 his sophomore year. He finished a stellar collegiate career with a .406 average. The Hornets won the American Midwest Conference his senior year.

The infielder also won Academic All-Conference (1991-1993) and All-Region (1991-1993. In 1992 he was awarded All-American.

The skipper earned a Bachelor of Science in Education from Harris-Stowe in 1994, and a Master of Science from Webster Univeristy in 1998. Dattoli is married with seven sons.
