Special Projects Funding and Application
Purpose
The St. Louis Community College Foundation encourages the faculty and staff of St. Louis Community College to seek funding for special projects.
Special projects are defined as unique short-term, one-time events, activities or programs for which there is limited or no appropriated money available through St. Louis Community College and/or outside resources. These projects will promote teaching and learning and may engage the community.
Review Process
The SLCC Special Projects Committee will review applications and make recommendations for funding. Members of the committee are comprised of college faculty and staff, retirees and members of the Foundation Board of Directors. Successful applicants will provide a summary and assessment of their projects to the committee for inclusion in Foundation reports.
Eligibility
Any employee of St. Louis Community College is eligible to apply. Any College employee may submit a request on behalf of a student or group of students.

Application
- State your objectives clearly.
- Define how this project will benefit students of St. Louis Community College, faculty and staff.
- How will your project affect the learning environment?
- Will this project engage community activity?
- Define how you will measure or evaluate the outcome.
- Provide a budget including all sources of funds. (The Foundation encourages applicants to seek partial
funding from other sources.) [NOTE: Projects are funded for up to $2,000.] - Provide a time frame.
- Submit a report within 30 days of the project completion.
Please note:
- Applications are limited to 2 pages in length and projects are funded for up to $2,000.
- Funding for college employee salaries will not be considered.
Support
Applicants are expected to obtain appropriate approvals for projects before submission to the committee (for example, Department Chair, Division Dean, etc.)
