Jan Holloway is senior vice president and chief of staff for Monsanto Company. In this role, she coordinates the board of directors and executive team activities. She also oversees community relations activities and Monsanto’s corporate services organization.
Holloway joined Monsanto’s information technology services about 25 years ago. She began as a programmer, developing applications for research and agriculture. As opportunities came, she accepted various IT positions within different areas of the company, including the commercial organization, research, manufacturing and engineering.
She has a bachelor of science degree in mathematics from Augusta College in Georgia, as well as a master of science degree in computer science from Washington University. While working on her master’s degree, she worked as a staff research associate at Washington University’s Center for Air Pollution Impact and Trend Analysis.
Holloway is a graduate of Leadership St. Louis and was selected by the St. Louis Business Journal as one of the 25 Most Influential Women in Business in 2000.
She serves on the boards of the Washington University Center for the Application of Information, the St. Louis Metro YWCA, and the United Way of Greater St. Louis. She chaired the United Way’s Women’s Leadership Giving Initiative in 2008.
