Florissant Valley Women Win the 4x100 Relay at the Kansas Relays

The relay team of Teneshia Peart, Bionca Gildon, Jhanell Brown, and Courtney Jones won the Kansas Relays held April 17-19. The team blazed to a time of 46.15, remaining undefeated in the event and lowering their own school record. Teneshia Peart claimed her 6th school record, running a time of 11.71 in the 100m. The time earned a 6th place finish at the Kansas relays. 

Peart Breaks 200m Record, Hawkins Qualifies 

Teneshia Peart broke the 200m school record Saturday April 5, with a time of 23.95. That time she means that she is currently ranked first in NJCAA. Terence Hawkins qualified for NJCAA outdoor nationals with a triple jump distance of 46’10”. Hawkins was 2007 4A Missouri State High School Champion in the triple jump.

Florissant Valley Women Break 14 Year Old Record in 4 X 100 relay.

The team of Teneshia Peart, Bionca Gildon, Jhanell Brown, and Courtney Jones won the 4x100 relay with a new school record time. The new record of 47.11 was almost a second faster than the previous record of 48.02 run in 1994. 

Other event winners were: Ashley Zanders in the Long Jump (18’2”), accomplishing a national qualifying distance. Teammate Brittney Monroe placed 2nd in the long jump. Teneshia Peart won the 100m (11.99) with a national qualifying performance. Bionca Gildon won the 200m dash during the meet.

Sophomore Tanieka Evans had a national qualifying performance in the 400 meter hurdles.
