Office of the President

President Hess
Dr. Cindy Hess

Welcome to the website for the Forest Park campus of St. Louis Community College!

I am delighted that you are considering the educational opportunities at this dynamic, urban campus.

Forest Park is a diverse, two-year college located across the highway from the world-famous St. Louis Zoo, and just a block west of the renowned St. Louis Science Center. We are part of the Forest Park South Neighborhood on the western edge of the city, comprised of major medical, cultural and educational institutions.

We celebrate our diversity, attracting an eclectic mix of students, ages 18 to 80, from more than 80 countries. Globalization is a major focus in many of our courses. However, we are particularly known for our Allied Health and Hospitality Studies programs, as well as for our Center for Excellence in Advanced Information Technology and our Automotive/Diesel programs.

Whether you are just starting out in college, returning to finish a degree or hoping to polish your job skills, you will find educational programs and services here to suit your needs. We also offer courses at our newest "green" location, the William J. Harrison Education Center, located in north St. Louis City, just across the street from Vashon High School.

I encourage you to stop by to visit the campus at 5600 Oakland Avenue, or the Harrison Education Center at 3140 Cass Avenue. No appointment is necessary to speak to an adviser and explore your career interests and educational goals. I am confident you will find a program that will enable you to advance toward your personal and professional goals.

Best wishes on your educational journey.
Cindy Hess, Ed.D.

Our reason for being:

It’s not about me. It’s not about you. It’s about our students and their success.
