Coach Turmail joins Forest Park as Head Coach in 2009. Turmail is also a former Highlander, as he played at Forest Park in 2007. In his lone season as a Highlander, he was 8-3 with a 3.20 ERA with a 9/1 strikeout to walk ratio. He led the team to a share of the Midwest Community College Athletic Conference Championship.

After Forest Park, Turmail transferred to Saint Louis University where he joined the rotation for the Billikens. He posted a record of 12-10 with a 3.67 ERA in 196.1 innings pitched while recording 140 strikeouts and two saves. He also pitched eight career complete games.

Turmail was an area standout in high school at Hazelwood Central. He was a two-time All-State selection and left the school with the career record in wins, strikeouts and innings pitched.
