TeleWEBcourses

These courses are a combination of a standard telecourse and a Web course, providing students and faculty more opportunities for engagement and interaction. Students view video lessons through library check-out materials (videocassettes, CDs, DVDs) or watch scheduled programs on KETC/Channel 9 (PBS) or HEC-TV (Higher Education Channel on cable) just like a standard telecourse. TeleWEB students also use the Internet (Blackboard) for assignments, announcements, class discussions, quizzes, and faculty/student and student/student interaction. Another viewing option is by streaming video through Blackboard, which provides students a "video on demand" service. Students generally go to campus for midterms and finals. Students need to meet equipment requirements for both a Web course and standard telecourse to take a TeleWEBcourse.
