This experiential course provides the student opportunity to apply theory and skills learned in the classroom, learn new skills, and explore career possibilities while supervised by a professional in the field and a faculty member. Student will observe and participate in the functions of the Hospitality industry to enhance their preparation for entering the field. Student is required to complete a minimum of 100 hours of supervised work experience in a position related to their academic or career goal and complete six personally developed learning objectives. Corequisite: Mus be concurrently enrolled in at least one class which is related to student's Major or career interest or with permission of the instructor. Prerequisites: HTM 100 or HRM 134, and Reading Proficiency. Be able to obtain a position related to student's academic or career goals (student's present job my qualify); or permission of instructor.
