Students will learn to plan and design 3D objects and output them using 3D printers and other devices. Principles of 3D design will be examined, and various kinds of 3D printers will be explored, along with their operation and maintenance. The integration of 3D design and printing as a part of the creative process applied to various disciplines (such as product and packaging design) will be emphasized. Additional hours required. Prerequisite: ART 131 and ART 133 both with minimum grades of "C" and Reading Proficiency.
