The Instructor Course is designed to prepare American Heart Association (AHA) instructors to disseminate to participants enrolled in AHA courses the science, skills and philosophy of resuscitation programs. The purpose of the AHA BLS/CPR Instructor Course is to provide instructor candidates the knowledge and skills necessary to reach and teach potential BLS providers. The AHA BLS/CPR Instructor course provides a structured initiation for the instructor candidates and serves as the foundation for their development. It provides instructor candidates the opportunity to develop and refine their presentation skills. Please note there is extensive self-paced course work. Access to a computer will be necessary for this course work. Prerequisite required at time of registration: Current AHA Healthcare Provider CPR card. Registration three weeks prior to course start date is required to ensure arrival of pre-course materials and completion of extensive pre-course work. This American Heart Association course is designed for the healthcare provider.
