High School Equivalency Schedule

All classes now require a two-day orientation during which class requirements/expectations will be discussed and testing assessments will be completed. Completion of the two-day orientation is a requirement for enrollment in the class. Details for each class are noted below.


New students will not be accepted during the second intake period in May or during the month of June. Enrollment will begin again in July.

 

Morning Classes

  • South County Education and University Center
    4115 Meramec Bottom Road, 63129
    • Place: Room 101,
    • Time: Monday through Friday, 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. 
    • Start date: Class runs continuously throughout the year

Note:

New students are accepted for orientation on the first and third Tuesday of the month. Completion of this orientation requires the student fully attend (8:30 to 11:30) two consecutive classes-Tuesday and the following Wednesday.


  • Salvation Army Gateway Community Center
    824 Union Road, 63123
    • Mon/Wed., 9:00 to 11:30 a.m. 
    • Start Date: September 6 - Class closes for summer at end of May
    • New students are not accepted in the month of April due to the class closing in May.

Note:

New students are accepted for orientation on the start date, Sept. 6, and the first and third Wednesday of every month after that. Completion of this orientation requires the student fully attend (9:00-11:30) two consecutive classes-Wednesday and the following Monday.


  • St. Louis Community College-Forest Park
    5600 Oakland Ave., 63110
    • Place: Room G-Tower, 111
    • Tuesday/Thursday 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. 
    • Classes are continuous 

Note:

Due to limited enrollment at Forest Park, students interested in this class will be put on a waiting list. Students should contact Karl Steenberg at 314-984-7805 to be placed on the waiting list or for additional information. When sufficient openings occur, the students will be contacted and an orientation will be scheduled. Typically, this will occur on the first Tuesday of the month. The two-day orientation is required.


Afternoon Classes:

  • St. Louis Community College-Meramec,
    11333 Big Bend Road., 63122
    • Place: Lecture Hall 102
    • Time: Monday through Thursday, 3:30-6:30 p.m.
    • Start date: Class runs continuously throughout the year
    • Minimum attendance of 5 hours/week or 20 hours/month is required

Note:

New students are accepted for orientation on the first and third Tuesday of the month.  Completion of this orientation requires the student fully attend (3:30-6:30) two consecutive classes-Tuesday and the following Wednesday. The orientation will start promptly at 3:30 p.m. and no late arrivals will be allowed.


Evening classes:

  • Affton High School
    8309 Mackenzie, 63123
    • Place: Room 32, 
    • Time: Monday, Tuesday & Thursday, 6:30-9 p.m.
    • Start date: Tuesday, Sept. 5.
    • Class closes for the summer at the end of April.
    • New students are not accepted in April

Note:

New students are accepted for orientation on the start date, Sept. 5, or the first and third Tuesday of every month. Completion of this orientation requires the student fully attend (6:00-9:00) two consecutive classes-Tuesday and the following Thursday.


  • South County Education and University Center

    • Time: Mon./Wed., 5:30-8:30 p.m.
    • Classes are continuous

Note:

New students are accepted for orientation on the first and third Wednesday of every month. Completion of this orientation requires the student fully attend (5:30 to 8:30) two consecutive classes-Wednesday and the following Monday.
