Progress Report - Chancellor Search

I am pleased to share that the Chancellor Search Committee will interview four semi-finalist candidates next week and will be recommending finalists to the Board for consideration. The Committee received 29 applications, and reviewed and ranked the candidates based upon criteria established by the committee in August.

The Board is planning to schedule campus forums and interviews with the finalists the week of March 2nd.  We hope to deliberate and select our next chancellor following those interviews.

I know all of us are excited to meet and to get to know our finalists.

On behalf of the Board, I would like to thank the Chancellor Search Committee for its dedication, commitment and hard work on behalf of St. Louis Community College.

Craig Larson,
Board Chair

Chancellor Search Progress Report

The Board appreciates the time and dedication of those who participated in the recent public forums, where we received valuable input from students, faculty, staff and community members to develop the Chancellor Profile.  The profile will provide applicants with an understanding of challenges, opportunities and desired characteristics for the chancellor at St. Louis Community College.

We would also like to give special thanks to the Chancellor Search Committee for developing the profile and timeline for the search, and who will next focus on application review and semifinalist candidate interviews.

The Chancellor Profile was approved at the Sept. 25 Board meeting and the recruitment process is under way. The target deadline for receiving applications is Jan. 18, 2015. View the Chancellor Profile.

Everyone is invited and encouraged to attend and participate in these forums.
