What is Blackboard?

Blackboard course sites are used in many St. Louis Community College courses each semester. Students use Blackboard to:

  • Find important class documents, such as the syllabus, handouts and lecture notes
  • Easily access e-reserves
  • Look up assignment due dates and exam schedules
  • Read class announcements
  • Participate in online discussions
  • Take quizzes and tests
  • Turn in assignments
  • Check grades

Instructors may or may not use Blackboard. Check with your instructors to find out how or if you are expected to use Blackboard.
