Tim Mosby was named head coach of the men’s soccer team in February 2014.
Mosby, a former Academic All-American player at STLCC-Florissant Valley in 2000-01, becomes the Archers’ third different head coach since the program became districtwide in 2011.
Mosby, who has spent the past nine years as an assistant coach at Marquette High School, will be joined by assistant Matt Benoist, who was Mosby’s teammate at Florissant Valley.
Mosby played on Florissant Valley’s last winning team (2001), which was nationally ranked. He finished his collegiate playing career as a defender at the University of Missouri-St. Louis, helping the squad to its best-ever record in the Great Lakes Valley Conference.
Mosby looks to reclaim a bit of the winning tradition during his tenure, and acknowledges that the turnaround will be a multi-year process.
“I really care about the direction of the program, and where it’s going,” Mosby said. “I’ve had a lot of success at the high school level, and I feel like I’m ready to move on to a little something different. I think we can attract some good talent here.”
