Juergen Huettner is entering his fifth season as women's head soccer coach, taking the 2012 squad to the Region XVI championship and an appearance in the NJCAA Women's Division I Soccer Tournament. He also was named the 2012 Region XVI Coach of the Year after leading the Archers to a 16-win campaign.
In four seasons at STLCC, Huettner has compiled a record of 47-37-3, including two winning seasons in each of the last two years. He joined the STLCC coaching staff in 2009 and led the Forest Park women's soccer team to the Region XVI championship. He was named Region XVI Coach of the Year that season.
In addition to coaching at STLCC, Huettner is the head coach of the girls' soccer team at Althoff Catholic High School in Belleville, Ill. The seven-time South Seven Conference Coach of the Year has guided Althoff to the Illinois Class 2A championship (2010), Class AA second place (2008), and Class A third place (2005). Huettner also has coached the Crusaders to six regional championships, four sectional titles and two supersectional titles. His career record at Althoff is 172-49-7, including a perfect 27-0 mark in 2010. He also served as coach of the Althoff boys' team 2001-08, compiling a career mark of 97-82-15.
An accomplished soccer player in his native Germany, Huettner earned degrees in culinary arts and hotel/restaurant management from Industrie und Handelskammer.
