Getting Started and Enrolled
At STLCC, our mission is to provide quality, low-cost education to area residents. Whether you're going to college for the first time or coming back after years away, we can help you reach your educational goals through small classes, affordable tuition and convenient class times and locations.
The links in the left- and right-columns have the information you need to get admitted and get enrolled in classes at STLCC. The Credit Enrollment Guide provides the same information in a PDF format.
Important dates:
- July 1 - Applications open for spring term
- September 1 - Applications open for fall term
- December 1 - Applications open for summer term
Applicants will receive an immediate email confirmation of receipt of their application. Admit letters are mailed weekly beginning one month after the application open date.
Just follow the checklist below to get started.
New Student Checklist:
1. Apply
Complete an application. If you have a disability and require accommodations, make a request through the Access office.
2. Apply for Financial Aid
Need money to attend college? Take steps to apply for financial aid. Check out loans, scholarships and A+ program benefits.
3. Get Assessed and Advised
Take the placement test or provide the appropriate documentation to waive assessment. Meet with an academic advisor or counselor.
Attend a College Registration/Enrollment Workshop (CREW).
4. Get Connected
Access your MySTLCC ID and set up a secure password. Log in to Banner Self-Service - your online tool to manage your personal and academic information.
5. Register for Classes
Select your classes and register online or via mail/fax by the registration deadline.
6. Pay for Classes
Pay your tuition and fees using one of the many payment options by the deadline.
7. Activate Your Student E-Mail
Don't miss out on anything, activate your my.stlcc.edu student e-mail account.
8. Prepare for Classes
Buy your books and get your MySTLCC OneCard student ID.
