Stlcc Alerts - Powered by Regroup 

STLCC Alerts is a comprehensive notification system which all St. Louis Community College locations use to broadcast important information such as campus emergencies, closures, delays, cancellations, and more via email, text, and/or text to voice messaging. This system is powered by Regroup, a mass notification platform.

Who can sign up for STLCC Alerts?

STLCC Current Students and Employees

All STLCC employees and credit students will automatically be set up to receive STLCC Alerts.

To receive text and text to voice through STLCC Alerts, make sure your cell, home, and/or office phone numbers are up to date in Banner Self-Service.

Students and employees can also manage their text and text to voice preferences through this form.

Please note, any changes made to employee work phone numbers in the referenced form will update STLCC's public-facing directory. Do not update this number unless it is incorrect.

Parents and Community Members

Parents and community members are welcome to sign up for STLCC Alerts too.

Unsubscribing from Text Notifications via Mobile Phone or Computer

We highly encourage student, employees, and individuals who a frequently visit STLCC campuses to keep text notifications enabled. However, data rates do apply to text messages sent through STLCC Alerts. To unsubscribe from texts via mobile, following the instruction below:

    • To opt out of receiving emergency alert text messages, text “STOP” to 51664
    • To resume emergency text messages, text “RESUME” to 51664

  1. Do I need to sign up for STLCC Alerts?
    1. All STLCC students and employees are automatically set up to receive STLCC Alerts. However, to ensure that you receive STLCC Alerts on your cell, work, and/or home phone, it’s imperative that you verify your emergency notification information in Banner. Email notifications will automatically be sent to your college account (stlcc.edu).
    2. Parents and community members are welcome to sign up for STLCC Alerts.
       
  2. Is @STLCCAlert going away?
    1. Please note, STLCC Alerts powered by Regroup replaces the college’s former 40404 Twitter alert system (@STLCCAlert). To ensure  a smooth transition, STLCC will continue to broadcast closings and emergency alerts via @STLCCAlerts until March 1, 2017.
       
  3. What type of messages will be sent via STLCC Alerts?
    STLCC Alerts enable you to:
    1. Stay up-to-date on closings and delays
    2. Get notified when inclement weather and natural disasters strike
    3. Receive emergency messages when someone or something has the potential to threaten your personal safety
    4. Be alerted when STLCC conducts safety drills
       
  4. How will I receive alerts?
    In the event of an emergency, STLCC Alerts may be disseminated via:
    1. Email (student and employee STLCC email accounts)
    2. Text (cell phone)
    3. Text to voice messaging (work and/or home phone)
       
  5. Can parents and community members subscribe to STLCC Alerts
    1. Yes. Parents, community members, and individuals who frequently visit STLCC campuses are encouraged to create an account.

    1. STLCC encourages all students, employees, and individuals who frequently visit STLCC campuses to keep text notifications enabled. However, data rates do apply to text messages sent through STLCC Alerts. To unsubscribe from texts via mobile, following the instruction below:

  7. How can I manage my preference for text to voice messaging from my computer?
    1. STLCC students and employees can manage their text to voice and text message preferences through the STLCC Alerts Contact Information form in Banner.
    2. Parent and community members who have created a Regroup account can manage their text to voice, text, and email preferences on the STLCC Alerts for Parent and Community Members webpage on stlcc.edu or by logging into Regroup.com.
       
  8. Can I unsubscribe from STLCC Alerts email messaging?   
    1. STLCC students and employees cannot unsubscribe to STLCC Alert email messages sent to their STLCC-issued email account.
    2. Parent and community members who have created a Regroup account can manage their text to voice, text, and email preferences on the STLCC Alerts for Parent and Community Members webpage on stlcc.edu or by logging into Regroup.com.
