Margo G. McNeil

Margo G. McNeil of Florissant taught in the Ferguson-Florissant School District for 27 years. She was elected to a second term as state representative for the 78th District in 2010. She was elected to the STLCC Board of Trustees in 2006.

"As a parent and teacher, I know the importance of high-quality, accessible and affordable education," McNeil said. "Keeping college fees affordable, programs accessible and providing strong academic and career development curricula will be my focus as a member of the board of trustees."

Prior to joining the Ferguson-Florissant District, McNeil was a freelance artist for five years. She also taught in the Wyoming (Ohio) School District for five years.

McNeil earned her master's and bachelor degrees in art education from the University of Cincinnati and received initial principal certification from the University of Missouri-St. Louis.

McNeil serves as chair of the Missouri National Education Association's government relations team for north St. Louis County and chaired MNEA's legislative committee. She serves as deputy registrar at her school for the St. Louis County Board of Election Commission. She was the local organizer for the Kids First Rally for education funding in Jefferson City and coordinated four educational community forums in 2004.

McNeil is married with three children.
